The Last Lecture

Can't believe Randy Pausch had passed away.
I read his book around June 2008, then i had managed to browse for his condition update a few times. That time he posted that he just had a medical check-up and the result came out good, better than his last medical check-up.
After a while, i keep on thinking to get update on his condition, but i just kept on forgetting, until recently i got news that he already had gone because of his terminal illness on July 2008.
I'm praying my best for him, and also for his family.

Would be so great if i could meet my own Kyle in this life, someone with absolute formula = good looking + charismatic + smart + nice, haha! Yeah! Get a grip!

Movie night @ Subtitle screening room, Dharmawangsa Square for celebrating the arrival of the year 2009. (It's kinda late though, well, at least we hang out *lol)

Movie we watched:
Love Jack Black!! And Mos Def too! But the movie is kind of out of our expectation. It just could have been better. My rating 1.5 out of 5 stars.
1.5 stars for Jack Black, Mos Def, and the story idea.

The place is great, rooms are pretty well-designed, so many movies to choose from classics to new releases, all originals, but we desperately suggest you to bring your own snacks and beverages. Most of the food and beverages they have taste awful, worse, stale!
You could also order from their two partnership restaurants, Sushi Nobu or RICE, which have vast selection of food and also taste great, but prepare to miss glimpse of the rolling movie, since the process could make you do a little effort, go back and forth in and out the screening room.

They also have blu-ray format viewing room with cozy la-z-boy recliners for two person, which is cost a little more than the regular ones.

Price: Rp. 130.000 nett / 2 hours (Regular Room)

Peristiwa pelupaan Disty, kayaknya berlanjut nih… anw just 4 info I guess and thought that the It Girl reallycan’t forget me about Disty, and Gw juga udah nyoba buat berpindah ke lain hati.. tapi tetep Gagal he..he..

I knew I make a stupid Mistake, pasti yang baca bilang, Bayangin aah kalo lo jadi cowonya, lo gimana??? Gw ngerti ama keadaan ini dan pengen Banget To go away, tapi secara gw mellow gila.. I just need her Right Now.. she can make my day shinning… Arrggghhh.. wanna scream out Loud.. nggak Cuma 2 kali Gw mimpiin dia (Shit…) udah lumayan sering belakangan.. terutama setelah dia sempet Putus (even nggak lama) I just felt that we get really closed back then (nggak memungkiri karena dia butuh Pegangan) and we just connected…

Sial.. Kenapa Gw sayang Banget ama nih Cewe Yah???

Rec (2007) Vs Quarantine (2008)

Quarantine turned out to be a Hollywood-movie-remake from Rec, Spanish movie released in 2007. Most people say the original is so much better than the remake. (C'mon, let's prove it, Monchi! *lol)

Me, myself, haven't watch Rec yet, but i'm really hoping it's much better than Quarantine, because the remake was so flat, not scary enough, lack of gore, which excel on those points what really makes a great zombie movie.

Many also debate about the shakycam going on in this movie, pros and cons,

I believe the using of shakycam in Quarantine from early beginning to end doesn't work. It makes the dead creatures mostly unseen and hard to see. In my opinion, a combination between still cameras and shakey ones would be perfect then would bring a heart-thumping and nail-biting movie, way scarier ambience. I hope the shakycam technique would be better in Rec (i'll make an update after watching it).

Still, 28 Weeks Later and Dawn of the Dead (2004) are the bomb! A few great 21st century zombie movie! Hell yeah! Bring it on, movie producers and directors! Beat those two! I'll be the first in line to watch it! (and also the rest of the aliens...) *lol

I'd like to give it 3 stars in the first place for the amazing idea of the story plot, but since it's a remake, I give 2.5 stars out of 5 for Quarantine.
